The bilateral relations began after the visit of the Prince, the father, to the Republic of Costa Rica in 25 to 26 January 2010, during which he met with the Costa Rican President and senior officials of the country and they discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations and issues of common interest, a number of agreements have also been signed.
